EDUCATION 

B.A. in Theatre and Communications from Texas A & M Kingsville, Texas. 

• Ten years as an actor in the touring rep-company, THE BILINGUAL THEATER COMPANY playing throughout Texas and Mexico, including nine months in Mexico City.  Also road manager and tech-director for the same company. 
• Directed more than 50 productions for 20 different theatre companies, organizations, and schools.
• Thirty of john's original scripts have been produced. 
• Taught three years of Middle School Theater at the Archbishop Oscar Romero Middle School, Corpus Christi, TX 
• Founded theater in a RTC (Residential Treatment Center) for emotionally disturbed youth.

• More than thirty years active involvement in theatre. 
• Roles in over 105 productions. 
• Over 1600 live performances. 
• Directed more than 50 productions for 20 different theatre companies, organizations, and schools. 
• Designed more than 40 productions including ten major musicals. 
• Served seven years on the board of directors for THE SOUTH TEXAS PERFORMANCE COMPANY\BILINGUAL THEATER COMPANY and mainstage director for more than fifteen productions. 
• Artistic Director of CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS a multi-discipline artist co-operative. 
• Co-Founder of THE EARTH & SKY ACTING COMPANY of Corpus Cristi (founded with April Daniels and Kris Benavidez) and THE EARTH & SKY ACTING CO, of Austin, Texas (founded witih April Daniels)
• Co-founder and Current Artist/Playwright in Residence for EASY Theatre. 
• Three years extreme low budget film as co-founder of GORGOLOFLX (founded with April Daniels and Robert Fort) - Wrote, produced and directed several low budget films included A BOY AND HIS HEAD.
• Designed and renovated two practical working performance spaces from large storage buildings in Corpus Christi, TX.
• Currently serving as Artistic Director of daniels & Son Theatre Company, founded with April Daniels and Matthew Torrez
• Currently serving as Texas Historic Folklore Storyteller, Lower Colorado River Authority
